DANC helping non-ambulatory hunters take to the field

Posted

The Development Authority of the North Country continues its Non-Ambulatory Big Game Hunting Program for a second year in 2011.

The program helps manage the deer population in the area of the regional landfill in Jefferson County and gives non-ambulatory recreational hunters in the North Country a chance to go afield.

North Country residents with a permanent physical condition that severely impairs their mobility are eligible. They are fully capable of hunting big game but have restricted ability to access land for a quality hunting experience.

For information, contact Mark Tyo, Development Authority Non-Ambulatory Big Game Hunting Program Coordinator, at 315-661-3243, by email at mtyo@danc.org, or at the website at www.danc.org.
