COLTON -- What residents described as a microburst or a tornado struck the Higley Flow area of Colton Saturday afternoon, flipping and tossing boats and docks along the Raquette River and knocking down trees and power lines.
Authorities report no injuries, but the destruction is evident. Gerard Butler sent us photos of damage showing large trees snapped and boats overturned.
National Grid, as of midnight, reported 48 customers in Colton still without power restored, but they said they expected to have those customers back online by about 6:30 a.m.
