MASSENA – One of four public meetings to be held by U.S. Customs and Border Protection on plans to study environmental impacts of security efforts along the U.S. northern border Great Lakes region will be in Massena, from 7 to 9 p.m. July 14 at the Quality Inn, 10 W. Orvis St.

To “improve planning of future actions to meet its homeland security requirements in productive harmony with the environment,” CBP says it is inviting agencies, organizations and the general public to give them suggestions on potential environmental impacts that the federal agency study should address.

CBP says it will have information on its activities, about the environmental impact statement process.
