WADDINGTON -- Gov. Andrew Cuomo will put in an appearance Thursday morning for the Bassmasters Elite tournament as it gets underway.
The governor visited the Adirondacks last month to highlight water sports, competing in a paddling race with fellow politicians.
This week's top-level national bass fishing event is drawing anglers and spectators from around the country, and is an event the likes of which this village has never seen. Its importance to St. Lawrence River communities will not be lost on politicians.
The tournament continues through Sunday.
