MACOMB – A GoFundMe site has raised over $20,000 to help support the family of a Macomb woman who died following a massive stoke shortly before giving birth to baby boy in June.
Ashley Brooks, 23, passed away June 19 due to complications of her pregnancy at the Crouse-Irving Hospital in Syracuse.
Ashley went in for a regular week check-up and had a seizure in the doctor’s office where they decided to take baby Maddox Tulley via emergency C-section, according to a GoFundMe.
She had a massive stroke while under anesthesia and passed away. Ashley leaves behind her son and fiance Albert “AJ” Tulley. They were to be married Sept. 26 of this year.
There will be a benefit for Maddox at Mullins in Gouvernuer on Sunday, July 19, at noon. There will be raffles, an auction, a walk/run by G3 gym, chainsaw carving, kids activities and more.
