MASSENA -- Seacomm Federal Credit Union will change their ATMs to use slots that take the card long edge first, which they say makes them more secure.
“The decision to upgrade our suite of ATMs was to provide [more] security protection to our membership. This will require cardholders to insert their card with the long-edge, eliminating potential skimmer attacks,” according to Seacomm CEO Scott Wilson.
They will use a Diebold ActivEdge model.
The change will affect all of their branches, including ATMs in Massena, Ogdensburg, Canton, Potsdam and elsewhere.
