CANTON -- The Crary Mills Presbyterian Church donated the fixings for 15 complete Thanksgiving meals to the Potsdam Food Pantry recently.
The children who regularly attend the church were taken to the Canton Save-A-Lot to shop for the groceries. Members of the congregation donated money and the church provided the remainder from the budgeted mission funds.
This is the second shopping trip this year for the young churchgoers. This summer the kids bought food at the Canton Price Chopper that they believed would make good lunches for the summer when children would not be eating at school.
Besides the shopping trips, the community church gathers food from the congregation every Sunday in a box kept in the foyer of the church.
Anyone interested in attending service at the Crary Mills Presbyterian Church is welcome Sunday mornings at 10 a.m. Children are welcome.
