CRARY MILLS -- Youth at Crary Mills Presbyterian Church have participated in shopping trips three times a year for the food pantry for the past three years.
They purchase foods in June that kids would like for lunch during the summer when they don’t eat at school.
They purchase full Thanksgiving dinners and this provides meals for 15 families.
For Christmas this year the church decided to let the children shop for “Toys for Tots.” With only a little adult guidance some of the children shopped together to find toys for all ages. As a result of the shopping trip more than 20 gifts were donated to the Toys for Tots organization.
