Kate Mulkin receives award from CP of the North Country Director Doris Chenier

CANTON – Kate Mulkin, Director of Human Resources, recently accepted the Lorraine Laurin Leadership Award at Cerebral Palsy Association of the North Country's 9th Annual Employee Recognition Banquet.

This award is CP of the North Country's most prestigious award and is given to an employee whose high level of professional leadership has set a standard for others to follow and whose dedication has improved the quality of life for people with disabilities.

Kate has been employed at CP of the North Country for 20 years and is known for her hard work and dedication.

She is noted by her co-workers as having a "door is always open" mindset.

Executive Director, Doris Chenier, described Kate as the following - "a wonderful employee who leads her team with enthusiasm and dedication to the mission of the agency."

She also stated, "Kate has worked in about every department of CP having started as a billing person. Her history and knowledge of the agency is invaluable."

Other awards given out: The Employees of the Year were Ashley Peggs, Human Resources Clerk; April Regan, Program Manager; and Robin Votra-Dafoe, Ward Clerk.

The Residential Award, also known as the Little Red Wagon Award, was given to Susanne Black.

The CDPAP Shining Star Awards, given to stand-out employees of the Consumer Directed Personal Assistant Program, were earned by Lynn Hunter, Tammy Lane and Stella Ward.
