DEKALB JUNCTION -- Two pounds of marijuana were seized, three men were arrested and another arrest is expected following a St. Lawrence County Drug Task Force bust of a DeKalb Junction address Tuesday.

Felony possession charges have been filed against men from DeKalb, Gouverneur and Richville.

Task force detectives used an undercover officer to purchase half a pound of pot. Following that, detectives converged on a house at 125 Old State Rd., where several people were confronted and detained.

Based on the evidence obtained to that point, a search warrant for the premises was issued by Town of DeKalb Justice Howard Putney. More marijuana was found, and several arrests were made.

Timothy A. Thompson, II, 28, of the Old State Road address, John-Charles M. Anson, 20, 85 Bristol Rd., Gouverneur, and Brandon W. Monroe, 31, 580 County Rt. 18, Richville, were charged with Class D felony, second-degree criminal possession of marijuana.

They were arraigned in Hermon Town Court before Justice Lamson and released to the supervision of county probation authorities.

Investigators said a fourth arrest is anticipated.

Agencies involved in the action were the St. Lawrence County Sheriff's Department, police departments from Canton, Gouverneur and Potsdam, and New York State Police.
