OGDENSBURG – Corning Incorporated Foundation was a 2013 sponsor of the Frederic Remington Art Museum’s annual education fundraiser Classic Golf Tournament this past summer. Proceeds from the tournament benefit the museum’s education programming at Kid's Place, the Frederic Remington Art Museum’s children’s museum.
"Local corporate support, such as the Corning Incorporated Foundation's generous contribution, is vital to keeping this education resource going strong," says museum director Laura Foster.
"We are very grateful for Corning Incorporated Foundation's support." Open hours with free play in the Kid’s Place hands-on interactive exhibits, art activities and most programming are free, and serve about 10,000 children and family groups per year.
In addition to providing a wide array of kid-friendly classes and projects at Kid’s Place and lectures and tours at the 1810 Parish Mansion and as well as distance learning programs.
The Frederic Remington Art Museum is located at 303 Washington Street, and is dedicated to collecting, exhibiting, preserving and interpreting the art and archives of Frederic Remington.
The Museum is open Wednesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m.
