POTSDAM – The Canton-Potsdam Hospital Foundation recently received a donation from Corning Incorporated Foundation to purchase a pelvic health treatment table.
The treatment table solves problems posed by traditional tables such as uncomfortable positioning for the therapist and patient. The table also provides better internal evaluation and treatment of pelvic floor disorder (PFD), orthopedic conditions and bladder control.
Other applications are in treating gastrointestinal problems, sacroiliac dysfunction, and coccyx pain.
The table allows therapists to achieve an ergonomic posture that greatly reduces stress on shoulders and spine, while providing more comfortable positioning for the patient.
