CANTON -- Cornell Cooperative Extension of St. Lawrence County is accepting sealed bids for maple evaporating equipment. All items will be sold as a package and the winning bidder must take all.
The package includes:
• Stainless steel front pan, 4-feet-by-4-feet, built by Dominion and Grimm Inc. in 2008.
• Stainless steel back pan, 4-feet-by-8-feet, lighting evaporator, built by Dominion and Grimm Inc., age is unknown. Back pan has raised flews with float.
• Arch, 4-feet-by-12-feet, damaged in fire, missing fire brick lining.
• Steam hoods for both front and back pans.
• Preheater for back pan.
• Steam stacks for hoods and pre-heater.
• Two oil burners made by Wayne Home Equipment, age is unknown, one burner is in need of repair.
Bids must be delivered to Cornell Cooperative Extension at 2043B State Highway 68, Canton NY, 13617 by 4:30 PM on Monday, Sept. 1.
All bids must include the dollar amount of the bid, name, address, signature of the bidder, and date in a sealed envelope marked “Maple Bid.”
Bids will be opened by board president and accepted or rejected by executive committee.
A certified check will be required before property is removed, and the property must be removed within 2 weeks after acceptance of the bid offer.
Extension reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
