POTSDAM -- The C.O.R.C. Thrift Store, 8 Willow St., continues its effort to help the community through their reusing and recycling programs.
The store accepts donations of good used clothing, linens, house wares and more for resale. The thrift shop also has a recycling trailer.
They can take old, worn out, stained clothing and linens, as well as purses, shoes and belts for recycling. “So you no longer need to throw them away, store officials said in an email. “We ask that you put them in a tied trash bag and label it recyclables and bring them into the store when we are open.”
They cannot accept items with strong odors such as cigarette smoke, kerosene, or mildew; also, items cannot be wet or damp. pillows, stuffed animals, house wares, books or fabric are not accepted.
“Help us to reuse, recycle, and reduce by taking advantage of our store and recycling effort and thank you for supporting your local non profit thrift store,” store representatives said.
