Cooler seasonable weather returns to St. Lawrence County, light showers possible Saturday

Variable clouds and cooler, more seasonable temperatures are on track for today and into the weekend in St. Lawrence County, according to the National Weather Service.

A weak weather system passing south of the area may bring a few light showers to the area Saturday morning, otherwise dry weather is expected into early next week.

Tonight: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 39. West wind 5 to 8 mph.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 50. West wind 5 to 13 mph.

Saturday Night: Areas of frost after 3am. Otherwise, partly cloudy, with a low around 36. Southwest wind 5 to 7 mph.

Sunday: Areas of frost before 9am. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 54. Southwest wind 5 to 14 mph.

Sunday Night: A 40 percent chance of showers after 7pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 43. Southwest wind around 8 mph. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Monday: Showers likely, mainly before 2pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 51. Southwest wind around 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
