Cool temps expected today in St. Lawrence County; dry weather expected for most of week with storms possible Thursday
Upper level low pressure will slowly pull east of St. Lawrence County today with any morning showers ending and skies becoming mainly clear by late afternoon, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
Temps will be cool for summer, with a high of 70 possible this afternoon, the service says. Cloudy skies will dominate early with the sun likely peeking out this afternoon.
The overnight low will be around 54 with calm winds, NWS says.
After high pressure brings a short window of fair and dry weather on Wednesday, shower and thunderstorm chances return by Thursday into Thursday evening as a weak front crosses the area.
Highs on Wednesday will be much warmer, nearing 80, with winds of five to eight miles per hour, the service says.
Dry conditions then return by next weekend as surface high pressure builds across
the northeast, NWS says.

A 30 percent chance of showers after 3am. Cloudy, with a low around 65. Calm wind becoming south around 5 mph after midnight. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Showers likely, with thunderstorms also possible after 2pm. Cloudy, with a high near 76. Southwest wind 6 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
