High pressure is moving into the North Country today, bringing clear skies and temperatures a few degrees below normal, according to the National Weather Service. Highs today will be in the upper 40 to low 50s, and lows tonight will be in the 30s, and some 20s in the mountains.

That will be followed by a couple of lows traversing the region Wednesday night into Friday and the chance for rain before high pressure approaches for the upcoming weekend.

Tuesday: Patchy frost before 8am. Otherwise, sunny, with a high near 61. Southeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming southwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph.

Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 40. Southeast wind around 7 mph.

Wednesday: Showers likely, mainly between 2pm and 3pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 58. Southeast wind 6 to 14 mph becoming southwest in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
