A high pressure system is expected to bring dry weather and cooler temperatures into the North Country, according to the National Weather Service.

The high pressure system will likely remain over the region Thursday and into Friday, the service says.

The system will bring seasonably mild and dry weather, the service says, but temperatures will warm up again over the weekend. Thunderstorms may return Saturday, the service says.

Rainfall may return Sunday as another cold front moves eastward, according to the service.
