There will be a dinner at Erin’s Isle.

Hank Ford, chairman of the St. Lawrence County Conservative Party, will lead the tour, which will include Robert Chauvin, Ann Crowell and John A. Lahtinen, who seek three open seats in the state Supreme Court’s 4th Judicial District. All three will appear on the Republican and Conservative parties’ lines in the upcoming election.

Lahtinen has served 11 years in the state Appellate Division. Crowell is the law clerk for state Supreme Court Justice Stephen A. Ferradino. Chauvin is the Saratoga County assistant district attorney.

Also joining the tour are Mary Lou Rupp, Cecily Lavigne Morris and Kevin Wells.

Rupp is seeking the county clerk position. She served as deputy clerk to then County Clerk Patty Ritchie for almost three years, before taking over the top spot after Ritchie was elected to the state Senate. She has eight years total experience between the County Clerk’s Office and the Department of Motor Vehicles.

Morris is running for county Family Court judge, after serving 10 years working closely with current Family Court Judge Barbara Potter as an associate county attorney.

Wells is St. Lawrence County sheriff, having served in the department since 1984.

Also invited are what Ford calls three conservative-minded candidates who are up for election in November 2012. State Sen. Patty Ritchie, R-Heuvelton, and Assemblyman Ken Blankenbush, R-Black River, received the St. Lawrence County Conservatives endorsement during their successful bids for office last year.

Matthew A. Doheny, who is seeking a seat in Congress in 2012, was the Republican and Independence parties’ candidate in the 23rd race last year – and is seeking the Conservative endorsement for his upcoming campaign.

“We’re excited about county residents meeting this great slate of candidates,” said Ford. “These fine men and women seeking state and local office are all committed to upholding the conservative values that keep our country strong.”
