WASHINGTON – Congressman Bill Owens has announced that several 2012 internships are available in his offices in Washington, Watertown, Plattsburgh, and Oneida.
“Our internship program offers a tremendous opportunity for recent graduates and current college students to gain valuable work experience and learn about the operations of a Congressional office,” said Owens. “I urge all who are interested in a career in public service to apply.”
Anyone over the age of 18 can apply to be an intern in one of Rep. Owens’ offices. There is no set schedule for an internship, as schedules are tailored for an applicant’s availability.
To apply, interested parties can fill out the form on Congressman Owens’ website at http://owens.house.gov/ConstituentServices/internships.htm, or they can email a resume and a cover letter to Owens’ internship coordinator, Kelley Longshore at kelley.longshore@mail.house.gov.
