POTSDAM -- More than $8,300 was raised at the recent 43rd Community Bank Charity Golf Tournament, which benefitted Hospice and Palliative Care of the North Country, Hospice said. One hundred and forty-eight golfers participated in the event at Patridge Run Golf Course.

“We are deeply grateful to David Peggs, tournament chairman and the dedicated tournament committee from Community Bank who do an exceptional job organizing this event each year," Hospice executive director Brian Gardam said.

In addition to Peggs, members of the planning committee included Gina Boyd, Melissa Cloce, Randy Pray, Brenda Rand and Sherry Stone. Volunteer from Community Bank included Sandy Burnham, Mark Burwell, Pam Dent, Kurtis Ellison, Lyn Forbes, Joy Graves, Ashley Keys, Helen Hollinger, Bob Lobdell, Bonnie Miller, Mario Pusateri, Pam Smith, Vickie Strader, Dori Warren and Marsha Watson. Also on hand were Hospice volunteers Gail Bisonette, Shirley Martin, Dan Hayden, Jane Amelotte and Alan Thompson. Partridge Run Golf Club manager, Kevin Maginn, Denis Walsh of Mulligan’s and the Club staff did a great job hosting the event again this year.

The tournament included two hole-in-one giveaways sponsored by T.J. Toyota and Mid-State Golf Car.

"Although there was a very close call, no one walked away with a new set of wheels," Hospice said.
