COLTON -- A Colton woman was granted a wish to visit a relative in California after being diagnosed with cancer this summer.
Judy Hoyt, 67, was diagnosed with colon cancer earlier this year and wanted to visit her cousin Renee who she had not seen in over 15 years.
“I Googled to try to find a wish foundation,” said Judy’s daughter Jannell Hoyt. “I did find one...it was A Wish Of a Lifetime.”
Renee was born and raised in California and she and Judy have only seen each other a few times.
They had formed a very special bond and stayed in touch through the phone calls.
Judy says that Renee is very uplifting and has helped her through a lot of things in her life, especially now.
“Thanks to Wish of a Lifetime, mom and Renee were reunited once again after over 15 years,” Jannell said. “Mom, along with me and our friend Michelle, traveled to see Renee in California and spent a week there.
The group went to Hollywood, Santa Monica beach, the zoo and the aquarium of the Pacific.
“I can not thank the wish foundation for this trip for my mother,” Jannell said. “It meant a lot to her.”
