COLTON -- A Colton woman charged Tuesday with assault of a dog control officer has been accused of threatening the warden by speeding toward him with her vehicle Wednesday.
St. Lawrence County Sheriff's deputies first charged Elizabeth D. Remington, 25, 445 Orebed Rd., on Tuesday on assault charges involving the dog warden. She told NorthCountryNow.com the charges are not true.
On Wednesday at about 6:30 p.m., Remington "drove her vehicle at a high rate of speed toward the Town of Colton/Pierrepont Dog Warden while he was operating his tractor on the East Hill Rd.," according to deputies.
Remington was issued an appearance ticket citing reckless endangerment, a Class A misdemeanor, returnable in Colton Town Court. An order of protection has been ordered in behalf of the dog warden.
