COLTON – The Colton Winterfest Committee donated $500 to the Neighborhood Center serving Colton, Pierrepont and Parishville during a town board meeting March 9.
Grace Hawley, chair of the town’s Winterfest Planning Committee, said the festival got started over twenty years ago in part to help the Neighborhood Center.
Over the years Winterfest donations have included cash as well as canned goods and other packaged food items.
In addition to the town’s financial donation this year Hawley said a contribution will be made by Amvets Post 262.
