BRASHER -- Many locals participated in the recent “Color Me Blue” 5K in Brasher Falls, which benefitted the Puzzle Piece Foundation.
Winners included, under 18: Carter Bordeleau (20:50), Ali Hart (21:48) and Carter Rose (21:52); women: Alaina Goodrich (26:01), Sara Lavigne (29:32) and Tanya Hewitt (37:23); men: Joey Reome (24:58), Jude Ducharme (25:23) and Joe Delaney (27:13).
The foundation provides academic and social offerings to children with autism, according to Mark LaFave, who provided information on the event.
They give a yearly northern New York grant, which benefits area classrooms.
