POTSDAM – Once again this year, financial aid professionals from SUNY Potsdam, St. Lawrence University, SUNY Plattsburgh, and Clarkson University are turning out Saturday, Feb. 4 to give help to students and families who need assistance in completing college financial aid forms.
If you think it’s too expensive to go to college, you should know that tens of millions of dollars in various forms of financial aid could be available to you. Applying for financial aid can be a daunting process, but you can get help at the Feb. 4 session.
This year, it will be held at 130 Bertrand H. Snell Hall on Clarkson University’s Hill Campus from 1 to 4 p.m.
In addition, participant students will have the opportunity to apply for a $500 need-based scholarship. A limited number of scholarships are available. The New York Higher Education Services Corporation will select the winners. Details on how to apply will be available at the event.
Students do not have to be an applicant at any of the participating colleges to participate.
Register at www.collegegoalsundayny.com. Don’t be confused by the name of the site: this event is on a Saturday. The website will tell you what documentation to bring with you.
