The stormy weather has passed, leaving behind cold temperatures but sunny skies in the North Country through Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.

Light snow is expected to appear briefly Sunday, with dry weather to return Monday, the service says. Snow showers are possible throughout next week.

Temperatures will warm slightly to the low 30s, but remain below normal for the season through Friday, the service says.

• Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 3. Calm wind.

• Saturday: Partly sunny, with a high near 30. Wind chill values as low as -4. Southeast wind 3 to 8 mph.

• Saturday Night: A 40 percent chance of snow showers, mainly after 3am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 22. South wind around 10 mph. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

• Sunday: Snow showers likely before 2pm, then rain and snow showers likely between 2pm and 4pm, then snow showers likely after 4pm. Cloudy, with a high near 35. South wind 5 to 9 mph becoming light southwest in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of around an inch possible.
