CANTON -- Tedra Cobb’s nearly year-long march to the Democratic nomination will conclude on Tuesday, as the voters will decide the party’s nominee. Cobb will spend the majority of the day working to get out her vote, but she will be publicly available at two events, said a press release from her campaign.

She will be voting at the Canton Fire Department, 77 Riverside Drive, between 12:30 and 12:50 p.m. Cobb will cast her vote alongside her husband Scott and her daughter Aida. Tedra’s son Ansel will also join them. The family will remain at the polling place as long as it takes them to cast their ballots.

Later Cobb will be at the Tedra Cobb for Congress Victory Party at the Best Western University Inn Canton, 90 E Main St., starting at 9 p.m. Cobb will join volunteers and supporters as they watch the results come in. She plans to address the crowd after the results have tallied and a winner declared. Refreshments will be provided, and a cash bar will be available. All are welcome to attend.

“It has been a long and very positive campaign,” says Cobb. “I am honored to have had the chance to travel across our vast district to hear from people about what matters to them. I look forward to awaiting election results with my supporters, then rolling up our sleeves to continue our campaign to defeat Elise Stefanik.”

Polls are open on Tuesday, June 26, from noon-9 p.m. Only registered Democrats may vote in the Democratic Primary; however, voters from other parties may cast their ballots in their respective races.
