St. Lawrence County will see cloudy skies with possible snow showers in higher elevations today before dry weather and the return of sunshine move in to the area on Monday, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

The dry and sunny weather will be short lived however as an upper level trough of low pressure will develop to our west on Tuesday and Wednesday bring clouds and precipitation back into the region, NWS says.

Today will see a high of 34 degrees and an overnight low around 25.

Monday will climb to near 40 with mostly sunny skies, the service says. There is a 30 percent chance of snow showers Monday night with little to no accumulation expected.

Rain and snow showers, becoming all rain is forecasted for Tuesday. The precipitation will turn to all rain after 10 a.m.

Tuesdays high will be near 45 degrees with a 90 percent chance of precipitation and little to no snow accumulation expected.
