POTSDAM — While clouds and a possible Sunday thunderstorm are lending a classic October atmosphere to the North Country air this weekend, the coming week is expected to bring sunny skies once more.
Before that however, today will feature overcast conditions and a 20 percent chance of rain throughout the day. But the high temperature is expected to hover around 66 said the National Weather Service.
Tonight showers are likely between 2 and 3 a.m. with the low around 60. The chance of rain is estimated at around 60 percent.
More showers are likely Sunday after 5 p.m. Skies will be mostly cloudy and the high will hover near 76. The evening will see the temperature plummet to around 44, with a chance of rain at 70 percent mainly before 11 p.m.
Monday will bring partly sunny conditions and highs near 49. Temperatures at night will drop to around 34.
Tuesday will be mostly sunny with highs near 57. Some clouds later that night will paint the sky and lows will be around 44.
Mostly sunny conditions will prevail Wednesday, with clear skies at night as well. Daytime highs will be near 59, with night time lows around 46.
More sun is forecast for Thursday, with the high climbing near 65. Thursday night will be partly cloudy with lows down her 48.
Friday will also be mostly sunny with highs near 66.
