Clouds to remain through Thursday; mild temperatures expected for Easter weekend

Posted

The high pressure that has given us lots of sunshine is giving way to upper level low pressure today along with an increase in cloud cover and the threat of scattered showers in the St. Lawrence River Valley, according to the National Weather Service.

Any rain – and some higher-elevation snow showers – should end tonight, although clouds will linger through Thursday, when a brisk northwesterly flow will usher in slightly cooler temperatures.

High pressure returns by Friday and into the upcoming weekend with mild temperatures and mostly clear skies expected.

The extended outlook: The chance of clouds and showers will punctuate sunny intervals Sunday night through Tuesday.
