Saturday, October 6, 2018 - 11:16 am

Low pressure over the Great Lakes this morning has pushed a warm front into the North Country today, and then high pressure north of the border sinks southward overnight pushing the front back south as a cold front with periods of showers.

Clouds and some rain are expected in the North Country today and tonight with highs today in the mid 50s and overnight lows near 50 with light winds.

Tonight’s rain could amount to as much as half an inch, the National Weather Service says.

Drizzle is expected Sunday with highs again in the mid 50s and lows in the mid 40s under cloudy skies Sunday night.

It is expected to be cloudy Monday, Columbus Day, with highs be near 60 as a trend toward much warmer temperatures begins.

By Monday night rain is expected to return with lows in the mid 50s, and the cluds will stick around for Tuesday with highs into the 70s.
