STAR LAKE -- A Clifton-Fine basketball player might be the first female C-F hoopster to reach 1,000 career points when the varsity plays against Harrisville Friday.
Junior Hunter Hitchman could reach that milestone when the Eagles take on the Harrisville Pirates in Star Lake starting at 6 p.m. Friday.
“When she does, Hunter will be the first female athlete to accomplish it,” said C-F Principal Brian Buchanan.
Clifton-Fine is 2-2 in Section X West Division play so far this season.
The 5'8" guard was described by WWNY-tv as a "scoring machine" while she was just a freshman.
The Friday game was rescheduled from Dec. 22 when the game was postponed due to weather.
