They honored eight of physician assistants during what CHMC calls “National Physician Assistant Week,” Oct. 6 to 12. They recognized physician assistants David Adams, Scott Beeles, Josh Caruso, Gabrielle Condict, Maggie Ecker, Riane Dodge, Alesha Pedersen and Anuja Thatte. “Educated and trained as medical generalists, they practice in every setting and specialty, with the goal of providing each patient with the best care possible. 2017 marks the 50 year anniversary of the profession,” CHMC said in a press statement.

For the American Case Management Association’s (AMCA) “National Case Management Week,” Oct. 8 to 14, CHMC recognized case management staff Michael Beldock, Jennifer Wright, Amber LaShomb, Amber Greer, Bonnie Gardner, Shaunah Prashaw and Catherine Field.

“This week is an opportunity to recognize the dedication, compassion, and quality patient care outcomes achieved by case managers across the healthcare continuum. This year’s theme is ‘Case Management: Exceptional People. Exceptional Care.’ At Claxton-Hepburn, case managers provide collaborative clinical assessment, care coordination, patient education, counseling, case monitoring/clinical pathway management, discharge planning, resource management, and patient advocacy,” a news release from CHMC said.

“At Claxton-Hepburn we recognize the significant role that engineers and facilities management staff play and consider them a part of your healthcare team.
