Steele has 25 years of experience in the radiology field.
He joins Claxton-Hepburn from the Wyoming Medical Center, where he was director of radiology.
Prior to that, he worked at Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown and Carthage Area Hospital. Steele served in the United States Army as a radiologic technologist at the Brooke Army Medical Center in Texas, the Army’s largest and busiest medical center.
He was trained at Baylor University in Texas. He is licensed in New York and credentialed through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
“Throughout my career, I have strived to always put patient safety first,” Steele said in a prepared statement from CHMC. “Safety, quality and great patient outcomes go hand in hand.”
Outside of work, Steele is hoping to get back to fishing the many waters of the North Country as he did when he was a child, this time with a camera.
