OGDENSBURG -- Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center Auxiliary held its annual spring dinner at the GranView Restaurant recently.
In addition to handing out five $1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors entering the medical field the members also presented a $7,000 check for a new paging system for the Richard E. Winter Cancer Treatment Center and the Agarwal Renal Center.
The cancer center also received $1,800 for a new chemotherapy chair.
Lifeline Systems was presented a check for $10,000 for new state-of-the-art equipment and $360 in magazines will be enjoyed by patients through community relations.
The auxiliary fulfilled their $200,000 current pledge to the Foundation Capital Campaign with a check for $100,000.
The Obstetrics Department was given $500 to purchase swaddles for newborns. Anyone interested in joining the CHMC Auxiliary should contact Rondalyn Jacobs, Auxiliary membership chairman or Ramona Kennedy, Auxiliary Liaison at 393-1559.
