OGDENSBURG -- Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center’s Winter Cancer Treatment Center and the American Cancer Society offers the Look Good…Feel Better (LGFB) program, on the fourth Monday of each month from 10-11:30 a.m. in the Medical Center’s HR conference room in the Annex Building. The next session is on Sept. 27.

The LGFB program is a free service that teaches female cancer patients beauty techniques to help enhance their appearance and self-image during chemotherapy and radiation treatments. Women are given tips about makeup, hair, wigs, turbans and scarves.

Each participant receives a complimentary box of beauty products containing items used in the program. Cosmetologist Kelly Gonyea, owner of the Hair Express in Ogdensburg, volunteers her time for this service to patients.

For more information or to register, contact Kay Zimmer at the Winter Cancer Center, at 393-2314, or the American Cancer Society at (800)-ACS-2345.
