POTSDAM -- The women’s hockey team at Clarkson University will be making their first NCAA Championship Frozen Four tournament appearance, and the team is looking for a good sendoff from the Cheel Arena parking lot at 11:45 a.m. Wednesday.
CU will play Mercyhurst in a semi-final game Friday at 8 p.m. The winner of that game meets the winner of the other Friday game, Minnesota vs. Wisconsin, in the championship game Sunday at 3 p.m.
Online viewing options are still forthcoming.
The women got to the tournament on the strength of a terrific season topped off by Clarkson’s first ECAC regular season conference title and a playoff victory over Boston College.
The tournament this year is at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Conn.
Starting at 6 p.m. Friday, Clarkson fans plan to gather at DeMil’s Restaurant, 4137 Whitney Avenue, Hamden, for a pre-game reception.
