POTSDAM -- Clarkson University and Siena College have finalized an agreement that will allow graduates of Siena’s Health Studies bachelor’s program who meet certain criteria to be automatically admitted to Clarkson’s Healthcare Management MBA program.

"This agreement with Clarkson's healthcare MBA offers Siena's health studies students access to career paths in an expanding and dynamic field. We look forward to working with Clarkson in this collaborative effort," said Professor Duane A. Matcha, Director of the Health Studies Program at Siena College.

The Siena College Bachelor of Arts in Health Studies program provides an overview of the healthcare system and critical public health issues. Students choose between one of three tracks: Health Administration, Health Science and Health Policy

The Clarkson University Healthcare Management, MBA program is designed to help students understand the complexities of the healthcare system and to manage health and health-related facilities more effectively. The MBA in Healthcare Management is one of only 28 programs in the country to offer dual AACSB and CAHME accreditation.

“This partnership means a lot to Clarkson. It means that Siena College students can join the strong Healthcare MBA program and help us contribute to improving the healthcare system in our country by becoming outstanding managers and leaders,” said John W. Huppertz, associate professor, and Chair of Clarkson’s MBA Healthcare Management Program.

“I am excited to welcome the Siena students to the Capital Region Campus. They arrive with a first-rate education and I am looking forward to helping them launch their careers in healthcare management.”
