POTSDAM -- Clarkson University has appointed an advisory council for its materials science and engineering doctoral program from the ranks of university and research institute experts from around the country.
The interdisciplinary program is designed to foster new thinking about the properties, synthesis and processing of advanced materials for alternative energy, biomaterials, polymer science and engineering, and more.
Council members are from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, George Mason University, Corning, Clemson University, and elsewhere.
During its first meeting in November, the council discussed the new program's curriculum and its research and strategy.
