POTSDAM -- Clarkson University is one of the schools that the education services company Princeton Review profiles in the new 2018 edition of its book Colleges That Pay You Back: The 200 Schools That Give You the Best Bang for Your Tuition Buck.
Clarkson is also featured on The Princeton Review's site at https://www.princetonreview.com/college-rankings/colleges-that-pay-you-back, according to a press release from the school.
The review selected these schools based on analysis of more than 650 colleges that weighted more than 40 data points, including academics, cost, financial aid, graduation rates, and student debt, to tally “return on investment” (ROI) ratings for the schools.
The company collected that data from its 2016-17 surveys of administrators and students at the schools. It also factored in data from PayScale.com from their online compensation survey on starting and mid-career salaries of graduates.
“Only seven percent of the nation’s four-year colleges made it into this book,” Robert Franek, the publication’s editor-in-chief said in a prepared statement. “These schools were bona fide standouts for the return they deliver on one’s college investment."
