POTSDAM – Clarkson ROTC training on Thursday will involve what look like assault rifles, but aren’t really.
This Thursday afternoon, Sept. 30, Clarkson Army ROTC will hold a training exercise in the vicinity of the Hamlin-Powers residence halls lawn, at the corner of Maple Street and Clarkson Avenue.
This training involves the use of rubberized M-16s, which are not capable of firing a projectile.
The university says Army ROTC will maintain a controlled training environment throughout and not interfere with any passersby.
