POTSDAM -- A Clarkson University student is jailed for allegedly possessing a felony quantity of cocaine, according to Potsdam Police Chief Kevin Bates.
Marco E. Parisi, 20, of 918 Quinnipiac Ave. Apt. 5, New Haven, Conn. is charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, fourth-degree criminal possession of a narcotic drug and second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia, Bates said.
On Thursday just before midnight, police raided Parisi’s room 42D of the Sigma Delta fraternity house on the Clarkson campus and allegedly found cocaine, packaging material and a large amount of U.S. currency, Bates said.
Parisi was arraigned in Potsdam Village Court by Justice Nicholas Pignone and pleaded not guilty. He was remanded to the St. Lawrence County Jail, Canton in lieu of $5,000 bail or $10,000 bond, Bates said.
