POTSDAM – A North County couple plans to open a new chiropractic office in April or May offering state-of-the-art technology and techniques for those with medical issues.

Dr. Jamie Towle and his wife Dr. Lisa Francy Towle have purchased the building located at 29 Main St. and will begin construction soon to transform the former salon into a medical office.

“We have always wanted to have our offices in the North Country,” Lisa said.

She was raised in Lisbon and obtained her undergraduate degree from St. Lawrence University.

Her areas of interest and study include: pregnancy care, pediatrics, nutrition, athletics, running, and anti-aging. She welcomes patients with chronic low back pain, headaches, neck and shoulder pain, sports injuries, pregnant women and children.

Jamie was born and raised in Malone and later graduated from Clarkson University. He currently works in his Malone office and has commuted from the couple’s home in Canton for nine years.

They both received doctorate degrees from New York Chiropractic College in Seneca Falls.

“We have great relationships with physicians at Canton-Potsdam Hospital, the colleges and other professionals in the Potsdam area already,” she said.

“He has such positive college memories and wants to return to the community,” she said.

Jamie has a passion for athletics, recently becoming a marathon runner, that has lead him to treat many athletes. He cares for local professional, college, and high school athletes as well as “weekend warriors.”

Treatment options include advanced therapy chiropractic thermography, which measures the heat given off of the spine, which will show any imbalances. They also offer computerized spinal decompression to help with damaged discs, according to Lisa.

“Because of this combination of cutting-edge technology…in our opinion we are one of the most technologically advanced offices north of Syracuse,” Lisa said.

Jamie has plans to build a fire truck themed table for the “Kids Corner” section of the new office.

“We have a large pediatric population that we care for…it helps to have a comfortable setting for younger patients,” she said.

The new office will also offer a variety of supplements and healing aides including bio-freeze and posture devices.

“We are transitioning our Malone office to our new Potsdam location. Our Canton office will remain open and our Malone office will close by late February, she said. They will split duties at the new office with each spending about two days in Potsdam.

The couple resides in Canton with their three children.

“What sets us apart is that we are from the North County, local-minded and family-oriented. Patients are treated like family…we take time with each person,” she said.

All local insurances are accepted as well as cash. For more information, call 386-2273.
