LISBON -- A chimney fire at a Cemetery Road residence damaged bedrooms and the attic Friday night.
Lisbon and Heuvelton firefighters and Lisbon Rescue were called out at 11:28 p.m. to 31 Cemetery Rd., a house owned by Mary Jane Kerr and occupied by four people.
Investigators said the fire was caused by a fire in a chimney. The damage to the bedrooms and attic was called "extensive."
"All teams work well and it was a good save," Investigator John McClear said.
The Lisbon volunteers were back in service at 1:39 a.m. Saturday.
Mutual aid was provided by Morley firefighters standing by at Lisbon and Morristown at Heuvelton.
The house is reportedly insured.
