POTSDAM -- The Cloudsplitter Foundation recently awarded the North Country Children’s Museum $15,000 to support their early childhood exhibit, PlaySpace.
The Playspace Exhibit will be part of the Museum’s permanent facility at 10 Raymond St. in downtown Potsdam.
An exploratory environment for children age 4 years old and under, the PlaySpace Exhibit will seek to activate creativity, engage children’s intellect and spark curiosity. Overall thematic elements will incorporate the Adirondacks, nature, social well-being, healthy living, family and community.
The main PlaySpace area will ideally be two, loosely divided sections that will allow children aged infant-2 years old primary access to one space and children aged 3-4 to the other. These demarcations are to provide the optimal environment for exploring within the sensory, motor and cognitive developmental capabilities for each age group.
