POTSDAM -- Memories were made at the recent SUNY Potsdam Child Care Center's annual Family Fun Night where children participated in art and musical activities.
Several stations were available for children to explore their creativity and produce their own works of art to take home. Stations included a weaving wall, a doodle wall, sculpting station, painting station and jewelry making. A music station was also available for the children to try their hand at the drums, guitar, maracas and dancing.
Local author and SUNY Potsdam Dean Emeritus Glenn Guiles was on hand for the event. His book, "A Hug for Harriet," brings to life the endearing character Harriet, the youngest and smallest miniature donkey in a large herd, and her desire for her human friends' affection. Guiles signed copies of his book for the children.
The annual free event is held to show appreciation to the center's patrons, according to college officials. For more information, visit www.potsdam.edu/faculty/spccc.
