Chase Mills woman charged with stealing octogenarian's credit card, making $6,500 in fraudulent purchases

CHASE MILLS -- A Chase Mills woman is charged with stealing a credit card from an 83-year old victim.

Francis is accused of using the 83-year-old female victim’s Home Depot credit card between Dec. 19, 2015, and April 27, 2016, to make a total of $6,574.07 in purchases at the Massena Home Depot, police said.

Francis was charged with one count of grand-larceny third-degree and one count of fifth-degree conspiracy.

She was arraigned in Massena Village Court and was released into the custody of St. Lawrence County probation, police said.
