LOUISVILLE -- A Chase Mills man was charged Dec. 4 after allegedly opening up several credit cards in another person’s name without their permission or knowledge, according to state police.
Lance S. LaRock, 25, was charged with first-degree identity theft, felony, at 2:45 p.m. at the state police station, 29 Stearns St. in Massena.
He opened credit cards in the name of a 48-year-old woman from Chase Mills.
He charged $7,536 on a Discover Card, $3,046 on a Community Bank card and $793 on a Capital One credit card, troopers said.
The incident was first reported to state police Oct. 18.
He was released to a third party and is to appear in Louisville court Dec. 21 at 5:30 p.m.
