MASSENA -- Steve O'Shaughnessy will formally announce his candidacy for Massena town supervisor on Thursday at 4 p.m. in front of the Town Hall, 60 Main St.
A current town councilman, he has received the Working Families Party endorsement and plans to seek the Democrats’ nod as well.
Following the announcement, the Massena Democratic Committee is inviting people to the Massena Elks Lodge, Bowers Street, for pizza and wings.
"Democratic candidates will be available at that time to talk about their vision for Massena and their platform," a news release from the Massena Democrat Committee says.
O'Shaughnessy is running against incumbent Town Supervisor Joe Gray, a two-term Republican who earlier in July said he would seek a third term.
